Humphrey Maris

Humphrey Maris is a physicist and a professor at Brown University.[1] He studies cryogenics. In 1991 he was made the George Chase Professor of Natural Science.[1]

Maris made headlines in the popular media when he proposed in 2000 that electrons could break up into smaller particles, each with fractional charge.[2] He dubbed these hypothetical particles "electrinos."
